Foam board: Also known as mounting board, or foam core is a "backing" material and "mounting" material widely used in framing art. Foam board is virtually weightless and rigid enough to be ideal for framing works of art. It adds little weight to the overall piece. Foam board cuts easily with a 'sharp' mat knife or utility knife.
