Choosing Matboard Colors

Choosing a colored or white mat online is nearly impossible since colors vary from monitor to monitor. White can be especially difficult as there are too many shades of white. We recommend:

1) Order a specifier, which are $4.00 each. Specifiers contain actual pieces of matboard that can be used to compare to the image you wish to mat.

Additional Information

Mat Blanks (No Window)

If you cut your own mats, rather than order a full sheet, request a mat blank and save money. Simply, a mat blank is a pre-sized mat board cut down to the size of your backing material, glazing, or frame and ready for you cut the window opening. There is a $2.00 fee for cutting mat blanks. All leftover pieces from the cutting belong to you.

Don't cut mats? That's OK we'll do it for you!

Matboard with (Custom) Cut Windows

If you choose to have a window cut into your own mat board that you bring to us, you will be charged the custom cut fee. Rates range from $5.56 to $15.90 and $18.95 for oversized matboards.

Do you have multiple prints or photos to go in one frame? We can cut multiple mat windows in the same mat blank.

Money-saving, time-saving tips:

Order a full sheet and cut it yourself.
If you don’t want to cut the window opening yourself, don’t order a full sheet and then ask for custom cutting. We will pull the board from our stock and custom cut it to your exact specifications. We’ll take care of the mess. You take home a custom mat. Call us for a quote, today!

Mat Fall Out

If you purchase, from us, a mat with custom window cutting, you may request that the bevel-edged fall-out material from your mat be included. There is an additional charge of 20% to our matboard price to retain the fall out.

We typically receive supply shipments every Tuesday and occasionally on Thursdays. If you know you are going to be in our area or visiting our studio for mirrors or custom picture framing, why don’t you phone us with your supply order and we’ll have it ready for you when you arrive for your appointment.

Remember: We do not ship and we do not stock these items. Be sure to plan ahead and order before you run out of supplies. We can expedite orders; however, there will be an extra charge to cover our freight costs. Be sure to contact us with any questions or check current prices before placing your order. There is a 10% re-stocking charge for returns. Prices are subject to change at any time without notice.
